Dan and I are currently in DC at my aunt and cousins house. We got here Friday night, and we'll stay til tomorrow, maybe Tuesday.

this week is probably the most stressful and hardest weeks i've had to face in a long time. four final projects are due, i'm moving out of my apartment, and i'm planning a four-month trip - all by friday.

i knew i would face challenges, because nothing is ever easy.

so first, i get sick. sore throat, headaches, weakness. it sucks, but i knew if i just got through this week, it would pay off once we hit the road on sunday.

so i finish all my projects, suck up the pain. pack as much as i can.

and then tonight, once i think i can handle everything, my flash drive "cannot be recognized" by my laptop. i haven't backed up my projects in a while because i've been working at school the past two weeks, and just saving it to my flash drive, and forgetting about backing them up when i got home.
so the only files i have on my laptop are some rough version of the four projects from three weeks ago. but all my new version, that i've been hauling ass to finish for three weeks are gone. INCLUDING the website that i've been working on the entire semester. which is literally impossible to finish by thursday at 4:00.

i am seriously screwed.
i don't know whether to drop out or jump in front of a truck.

I feel good. I mean, I'm stressed about finishing this semester, moving, and leaving for a 3,000 mile trip all in two weeks; but right now I feel good cause I know it'll all work out.
And I feel really excited because I've been getting into a lot of new things lately. And they're all things I feel like I've had all along, but they're still new. So it's comforting. It's a nice transition from the shitty things that I've felt this past year. I was down in the dumps for a while cause it was just like nothings going anywhere. And I know I'm in a weird part in my life cause of college and blahblahblah, but it's like, I was pretty sure I'd feel even worse when I graduated. It'd be like, okay now what? Now I pay back $100,000 in loans and live in more shitty apartments and work all day? And it made me even more pissed off and aggravated when people were like "but everyone does it, it'll be okay."
I don't want to do what everyone's doing.
I just feel like my life has been lacking in meaning. I want to either do things that make me feel good, and are meaningful to me - or to do things that make others feel good, and are meaningful to them. And being in college just feels like I'm digging myself further down a hole of something that in the long run will give me nothing but a paycheck.
But whatever. I didn't want this post to turn into what it did.

Basically I am happy, and I know things will work out, and I feel comfortable with everything.
