We got an apartment! It's so cute and perfect. It's only a one bedroom, which is a first for us (not including this summer, I guess) But we love it. I will post pictures soon, I promise.
Being home is pretty awesome. My first night here was kind of weird. I don't know why. Mike went to Boston the night before and brought Dylan back with him so that he'd be there when I got home, which was awesome. Hanging out with them was great. But for some reason being home with my Mom and other family members was just weird. Like, they acted happy to see me, but it felt fake? That sounds ridiculous, I know.
But since then, things have been getting a lot better. The other night my mom hugged me and said that she's so glad I'm home, and that it feels like the family is finally back together again.
And our apartment is in the building next to Mike's apartment. Mike's my best friend, if you did not know, so it's so awesome having him for a neighbor.
It's so crazy being a 15 minute drive away from family. And the fact they can just "swing by". I love it. It feels so safe and nice.

Not sure I really want to go home.
I mean, I'm excited, and I miss everyone so much. But my mom keeps making it seem like her life is different now since I left, and she's worried about me messing that up.
I can't even live at home, and will have to live in my friends living room until Dan and I find an apartment.

I shouldn't rant about this now. I'm still in New York, so I could be wrong. When I do actually get back to Massachusetts, we'll see.

The Oregon coast is exactly how I remembered it - amazing.
We didn't want to leave, but we did and finished The Lost Coast trail in northern California.
We're now outside of San Francisco hanging out. Maybe getting a job, maybe going back east?

Tuesday morning, we're headed to Portland, Oregon, and then over to HWY 101, following the coast down to the trailhead on the Lost Coast!

Yesterday we celebrated our two year anniversary!
We got our new tent in the mail, but since it was way too cold outside, we set it up in our room.
Then we went to town and got the most amazing Mexican dinner ever. We were going to see a movie, but nothing good was playing, so for less than $20, we rented four movies, got ice cream, and drove back to our room.
We're trying to save money for California - because our real gift to each other is doing that hike. So we didn't want to go all out just yet. But it was still awesome :)

We leave Wyoming in less than two weeks, and are heading to Florida until Christmas.
But first, California.

On our way, we're going to stop by The Lost Coast in California. I found this amazing trail that leads you along the coast. It's 26 miles, which we could probably do in 2 or 3 days - but we're going to take our time and explore. An article I read about the trail said: "Play tag with the pounding surf by day and camp in misty coves by night on this 26-miler along the wildflower-swathed hillsides."

Dan and I signed contracts to stay and work in Yellowstone for another month. So, we won't be leaving Wyoming until September 28th. From there, we're going to drive to the West Coast, and take Highway 101 all the way down to Southern California. Then, we head over to Florida, where we'll be living until Christmas. My grandmother has a house there, a mile from the ocean on the west coast. She only lives there from January to May, so we'll be alone in an amazing house with a hot tub on the ocean for 3 months. I'm in the process of trying to get an internship there at a print shop or something so I don't feel so guilty for not going to school.

I miss my mom more than anything,
but I'll be home for Christmas
